The nonprofit organization now has nearly <glossary id="CurrentMembers">250,000</glossary> members in <glossary id="CurrentClubs">12,500</glossary> clubs in <glossary id="CurrentCountry">106</glossary> countries, offering a proven – and enjoyable! – way to practice and hone communication and leadership skills.<br /><br />Most Toastmasters meetings are comprised of approximately 20 people who meet weekly for an hour or two. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian.<br /><br />There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is critiqued by a member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Black Forest Toastmasters of Brussels</span> is a German-English bilingual club, founded in 2006: We use both languages to an equal degree, helping our members to improve their fluency and vocabulary in the language of their choice. Dies kann das Vortragen einer vorbereiteten oder unvorbereiteten Rede sein oder auch die Mitwirkung als Zeitnehmer, Bewerter oder Grammatiker.<br /><br />Auf unseren Treffen gibt es keinen Ausbilder. Statt dessen wird jede Rede bzw. das Treffen durch ein Mitglied auf eine positive und motivierende Art und Weise bewertet. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, was dem Bewerter besonders gut gefallen hat und was noch verbessert werden kann.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Der Schwarzwald Toastmasters Klub</span> wurde als Deutsch-Englisch sprachiger Klub im Jahr 2006 gegründet.
